About this stay
What do we do? • We are currently doing our best. Tom is working as an online functional skills Maths and English tutor with his main cohort of learners coming for the NHS and police force and Agnese is a ‘jack of all trades’ with working experience in NHS and private ambulance sector; animal welfare; translation and interpreting field; and currently she is building into a holistic treatment business avenue (massages, aromatherapies, ‘tapping’, and various other emotional wellbeing therapies that can be done via online sessions) • It is a current system that works well for us but we are saving for our own home in Latvia where we aim to start an animal friendly AirBnB and become as self-sufficient as possible; all the time monitoring and trying to reduce our carbon footprint and unnecessary impacts on the environment. What are our interests? • We have a joint passion for long walks and enjoying what the local areas can offer to us. Skateboarding and surfing are some of the more active outlets that we have when the weather and location allows it, but a good game of abalone, chess or simply enjoying a good book is always something that helps us to fill our time. Also, there’s a forever growing passion and skills for juggling, poi, and other circus tricks and things. What are our passions? • Helping. It’s a simple answer yet the one that sums up this question the easiest and most accurately. From Toms profession and experience working in education and more specifically in the Special educational needs area and Agnese’s work within NHS and care service nothing is more important than helping. • Helping can take an almost infinite shapes and forms, and is something that is always a mutually beneficial exchange. Although we have our own interests and hobbies, we are acutely aware of the importance of friends and family and their wellbeing and how important someone to talk to can be. Experience: It's now been around 10 years overall, excluding our personal experience in having pets in family setting. We have looked after looooads of dogs and cats. Also smaller pets like rabbits, fish and birds, hamsters ect ect. Have experience with horses and farm animals too.
